Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
For the frosting, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
Mix in the eggnog, ground nutmeg, and cinnamon until fully incorporated. Adjust the thickness by adding more powdered sugar or eggnog as needed.
Once the brownies are completely cool, spread the eggnog frosting evenly over the top.
For an optional touch, pipe whipped cream around the edges and sprinkle with additional nutmeg. Cut into squares and serve.
