Sweeten the Boba: After the tapioca pearls are cooked, strain them and rinse under cold water for a few seconds. In a bowl, mix the pearls with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the sweetness.
Prepare the Milk Tea: In a separate bowl or a large glass, combine the milk and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar syrup. If you desire a richer flavor, add the vanilla extract. Stir well to mix.
Assemble the Drink: In a serving glass, add the sweetened tapioca pearls. If using ice cubes, place them on top of the pearls. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the pearls, allowing it to layer on top.
Drizzle Extra Brown Sugar: For an aesthetic touch, drizzle extra brown sugar around the inside walls of the glass before adding the milk tea. It creates a beautiful, sweet effect.
Serve: Use a wide straw to sip the delicious boba milk tea, enjoying the bursts of chewy tapioca pearls with each sip!
