Ingredients
3
medium-sized
apples (e.g., Honeycrisp or Fuji)
1
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
2
tablespoons
granulated sugar
1
tablespoon
lemon juice
1
pinch
salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Wash the apples thoroughly and remove the core. Slice them into very thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the apple slices, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, making sure they do not overlap.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, or until the apple slices are crisp and golden brown.
Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. As they cool, they will become even crisper.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week, if they last that long!
Notes
Serve in a decorative bowl, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.
