29
oz
sliced peaches in syrup, undrained
1
box
yellow cake mix (dry)
1/2
cup
unsalted butter, melted
1
cup
brown sugar
1
teaspoon
cinnamon
1/2
teaspoon
nutmeg
1/2
cup
chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
to taste
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, pour the undrained sliced peaches evenly across the bottom.
In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the peaches.
Evenly pour the dry yellow cake mix over the peach and sugar mixture, making sure to cover the entire surface without mixing it in.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, ensuring all areas are covered.
If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts on top of the butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbles are coming from the sides.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
